Winter is the season of colds and flu, and a sore throat or a dripping nose are the most common symptoms.
If you are reading this, it probably means that you have already tried numerous over-the-counter remedies to relieve a sore throat, but hardly any of those were natural or actually helped you.
Oregano Oil is so powerful that it can ease cold symptoms, flu, cough, asthma, or an upset stomach. It may also help relieve respiratory tract infections and herpes.
Besides being rich in antioxidants, Oregano Oil contains a good amount of Vitamin K, Vitamin A and Calcium.
A research at the University of Arizona found that chemical ingredients of oregano have antiviral and disinfectant properties. The substance called carvacrol has the ability to destroy viruses and enable the antimicrobials to attack more efficiently.
This is very useful when it comes to a virus that’s followed by vomiting, because such a virus cannot be killed with ordinary disinfectants and is quickly spread, especially in hospitals.

How to make your own Oregano Oil
Extracting oregano oil requires a special distillation process. However, there is a simple way to make your own oregano oil at home.
Ingredients:
– Oregano leaves, chopped or crushed
– Olive oil, almond oil or grape seed oil
– Sanitized jar with lid
Procedure:
Boil some water in a sauce pan. Once it has reached a rolling boil, turn off the heat.
Place your oil of choice and chopped oregano leaves in the jar.
Put the jar in the hot water and let it sit for about five to 10 minutes. This heats up the oil and helps the oregano release its natural oils.
Remove the jar from the water bath and place beside a sunny window for one to two weeks. Shake the jar every few days.
Once the two weeks is up, strain the oil from the leaves and place into a sanitized jar. Store the oil in a dark, cool place.
To preserve the oil, add a few more drops of grapefruit seed oil.
Note: We advise you to consult with your doctor first before you try using Oregano Oil as a medicine.
